Betty in White Christmas at La Comedia Dinner Theater

The closing of shows is always hard for me. I am so grateful to get to do what I love and I throw myself whole heartedly into the show and into my relationships with the cast.

Saying goodbye to White Christmas is harder than most shows for me because it has meant more to me than I could ever have dreamed. I love the show that we have created, I love the music, and I love playing the role of Betty. I have learned so much and it has been incredibly fulfilling. But more importantly I am so grateful and lucky to have worked with such an incredible group of human beings. They are kind, hard working and talented, and spending the last 2.5 months of my life living and working with them has been a dream come true. They are more than true friends, they have become family and I feel so, so blessed to have been able to share this opportunity with every single person on this contract.

I cannot count the number of laughs we’ve had and the memories we have created. These people and this show will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Chris Beiser for the amazing opportunity and to Kris Byerly, Ashleigh, Rachel, Tony and Laura for all of their hard work and help this contract!

Happy Closing to every single one of you. I love all of you! Especially today I am counting my blessings and remembering two of my favorite quotes to get me through the tears:

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
-Winnie the Pooh

“If you’re worried and you can’t sleep, just count your blessing instead of sheep and you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings.”
-Irving Berlin
