2020 and beyond….

Wow. What a crazy time. After finishing up the National Tour of Cirque Dreams Holidaze I headed back to New York and booked work for the rest of the year! I was slated to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (a dream role!), the Day by Day singer in Godspell, and Ensemble in Sweeney Todd and Bright Star. That was all going to be followed by another Christmas tour!

Then everything came crashing down as COVID began. My husband and I left NYC, we both lost all of our work for the entire year and we waited to see what was going to happen. I did many virtual shows and productions over 2020 and my husband and I produced a virtual Christmas concert with a fabulous reception!

When 2021 started we didn’t know how long it would take to get back onstage. Luckily in January I was cast as Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. As a cast we rehearsed completely masked and then we recorded the whole show over the course of two days so that it could be streamed online. My next show was You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown where I played Sally and where we got to perform for a live audience again (a limited, masked audience while we were behind a plexiglass bubble made by the theater)! I then played Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On. This was my first show back after everyone was fully vaccinated and it was the first time things started to feel like normal again (of course we still followed strict safety protocols but it was amazing to start to get back to normal). I then reprised the role of Ana Maria that I originated with Central City Opera’s En Mis Palabras. We got to perform at a beautiful outside venue in Colorado.

I am now so grateful to be heading to work at the American Music Theatre as a main stage vocalist for their Winter Wonderland Christmas Spectacular. I am so excited for the rest of the year and can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store!
